Safety

You ride elevators every day without a second thought, but behind every smooth trip is a complex system of precision engineering and safety measures. One misstep can mean serious consequences—not just for employees, but for tenants, clients, and the general public.
That’s why our safety program is built on four key pillars:

Safety standards compliance

Robust training programs

Thorough inspection procedures

Emergency response protocols

We go beyond meeting industry standards by continuously refining our approach to stay ahead of risks. Because when safety is prioritized, teams work smarter, productivity increases, and everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.

Safety Standards Compliance

Adherence to safety standards is the foundation of our elevator safety program. We rigorously follow all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards and ASME A17 guidelines specific to the elevator industry.

Our compliance efforts involve regular audits, documentation reviews, and updates to our policies and procedures to reflect the latest regulatory requirements.

By maintaining strict compliance, we not only protect our employees and clients but also mitigate legal and financial risks associated with workplace incidents.

Training
Programs

Our training covers a wide range of topics, from proper use of personal protective equipment to hazard recognition and reporting procedures.

Our technicians gain the following from our training:

  • 6 months of probationary apprenticeship (computer based training)
  • 6 months of mentorship meetings
  • 512 hours of classroom instruction
  • 8000 hours of on-the-job training is required to be eligible to take the mechanics exam

We emphasize critical safety aspects such as fall protection, electrical safety (LOTO/Test and Verify), and working in confined spaces. Regular refresher courses and competency assessments ensure that safety knowledge remains current and effectively applied in daily operations.

Inspection
Procedures

Regular and thorough inspections are crucial for identifying and addressing potential hazards before they lead to incidents.

Findings from these inspections are promptly addressed, with clear accountability for implementing corrective actions and follow-up verifications to ensure the effectiveness of these measures.

Emergency
Response Protocols

Well-defined emergency response protocols are essential for minimizing the impact of unforeseen events in elevator operations.

Our emergency response plan covers a wide range of potential scenarios, including elevator entrapments, power failures, and mechanical malfunctions.

We conduct regular drills and simulations to familiarize employees with rescue procedures, communication protocols, and their roles during emergencies.

Additionally, we maintain a team of trained first responders and ensure that emergency equipment is readily accessible and properly maintained throughout our service areas.
